Escape the Storm

Flood waters from the Nolichucky River rage near Jackson Love Highway and Interstate 26 in Erwin, Tenn., on Friday Sept. 27, 2024. Unicoi County Hospital, back left, flooded and had to be evacuated on Friday.

Hurricane Helene hit as predicted. Floods and one hundred forty-mile-an-hour wind caused power outages and destruction beyond the coast. But this intense storm didn’t strike without warning—one warning instructed people to tag themselves with ID if they chose not to evacuate Helene’s predicted path.

A more significant storm is brewing, with warnings from pulpits and everyday Christians. Jesus is coming soon. Only one form of identification will ensure we are taken to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As born again, blood-bought saints sup with the Savior, the most devastating storm ever known to man will strike. People will be left behind if they’ve failed to make evacuation preparations. Unpurchased people will fall prey to the Beast and the False Prophit, who will rule the world with one religion and one economy. Taking the Mark of the Beast will be the only way to ensure a sustained livelihood. All will seem normal until the satanic storm devastates humanity. Prepare now to miss this storm. Don’t delay.

We’ve been compelled to pray for many affected by Helene, and we should do so. But more importantly, let’s pray for people to prepare to escape the coming storm.

My heart is heavy for those who were stranded, injured, or lost their lives in the path of Helene. I assume some held to their livelihoods or had no means of transportation to evacuate. For whatever reason, some failed to heed warnings or lacked the necessary resources to avoid this catastrophic storm, but the coming spiritual storm can be escaped.

Jesus’s earthly journey was purposed to make way for all lost sinners to escape destruction. He shed his blood to please His Father and purchase the souls of all men. Escape from the coming storm comes when we heed God’s warning. The Bible clearly shows us God’s love, mercy, and grace given to all who believe. We’re also warned of the consequences of failing to prepare. Yield the warning and escape the final storm.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Hebrews 2:3

      Life certainly is fragile and our surrender to salvation is most important.
