.…Lift up your eyes and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest…. John 4:35
I watched as my friends shared their testimony in the home of a lost lady. As a result, I expect to see a conversation take place.
Jesus told His disciples to lift up their eyes and look. Likewise, we need to look out into the fields, or the world, with spiritual eyes. Our vision changes when focusing where the heart of Jesus is fixed.
The white fields are ready to harvest or many among us are unbelievers. Because of this, Satan works to hinder our vision through the pull of consuming worldly wealth, success, and power, all perishable pursuits.
The disciples busied themselves with purchasing food in the town of Samaria rather than witnessing to the people of Jesus’ transforming power. They missed the opportunity to share the gospel, reasoning that someday Samaria might receive the gospel. However, like then, the world needs Jesus today.
Jesus offered His living water to the Samaritan women at the well, who then believed and took her testimony back to town. Many believed because one woman shared her encounter with Jesus. Furthermore, our testimony will also make a difference.
Will you share your testimony with others today? True wealth exists, not in temporal but in eternal treasures laid up in Heaven, never to perish.
Treasured Truth
