For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. I Cor. 14:33
My porch pillows are moved almost daily. The wind blows them from their place on my porch swing. I toss them back to their purposed position, but the wind sweeps through, and consequently I find them on the ground again.
Incidentally. some are like my pillows, often moved from their purposed position. God has left instructions so we Christians can understand orderly positions and avoid constant movement away from his purposes. However, we have leaders in the body of Christ as listed in God’s Word.
And he gave some apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;. Ephesians 4:11
Today we have evangelists, pastors and teachers who instruct believers with the truth of God’s Word so that saints might mature and be edified.
God desires for his body of believers to be unified in genuine faith having knowledge of the Son of God. Therefore, the purpose for all believers is that we mature and grow, understanding the fulness of Christ. Because of this, God calls and sets men in positions of evangelists and pastors. He equips both men and women with the ability to teach his word to fulfil his purpose. Notably, women and children often benefit greatly from women who fill the office of teaching, if she stays in her rightful position. Any method outside of God’s divine instruction will cause confusion, which God is not the author of!
Consequently. when God’s order is instituted, believers are established and grounded. Henceforth, we will no more be children tossed to and fro, carried about by every wind and doctrine. There are false prophets, wolves in sheep clothing, who teach false doctrines and damnable heresies. In fact, they lie in wait to deceive through cunning and crafty measures-BEWARE!
To ensure we avoid being deceived we must stay in God’s Word. Being grounded with knowledge of God’s absolute truth equips us to stay in our God ordained roles and spot false prophets. Furthermore, mark and avoid people who teach falsely because what fellowship does light have with darkness? Moreover, let’s speak the truth in love so we can grow up in Christ!
*Don’t be moved.
*Understand God’s order of positions in the church.
*Don’t be tossed to and fro. Know sound doctrine.
*BEWARE of False Prophets in sheep’s clothing!
*Continue in God’s Word.
WORDS OF TRUTH
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Ephesians 4:14
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:30 & 32
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17 & 18
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians. 6:14
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Ephesians 4:15
