Chosen

I am amazed how God has chosen to use women. Actually, we are the only gender to conceive and birth babies. The process from conception to birth is nothing short of miraculous. Birthing, nurturing, loving, and training my kids is the highlight of my life. In fact, I have filled many roles inside and outside the home but nothing has blessed me more than being a mother. Moreover, It is the most joyful role that I have ever been chosen to fulfill.  

Blessed

When Mary was chosen to conceive Jesus, she must have been relieved to know that her cousin Elizabeth was also pregnant. Therefore she arose and made haste to the hill country to visit. As Mary saluted Elizabeth, her babe (John) leaped in her womb and she was filled with the Holy Ghost. Elizabeth spoke with a loud voice telling Mary she was blessed among women and blessed was the fruit in her womb. What’s more, God’s plan allowed two women to share blessed news and encourage one another.

Magnify 

My soul doth magnify the Lord, Mary exclaimed, as she burst forth in song. She realized she was a handmaiden of low estate and that she would be remembered as blessed for generations to come. Mary sang of God’s might moreover she declared that His name is holy, He is merciful, and He is strong. She also proclaimed he exalts those of low degree, like herself. Mary’s heart must have been overjoyed with her immaculate conception and with the future miraculous birth of God’s Son.

WORDS OF TRUTH

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luke 1:31 

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:3
