I just left our ladies meeting tonight feeling so blessed that we can share in Christian fellowship. This was the first day of school for a couple of teenage girls who were in attendance. As they shared with me about their friendships and class schedules I hope I listened and left them feeling understood and loved. A mom in the group sent her kindergartner off to school with high expectations but was feeling a bit overwhelmed and disappointed at the end of the day. I hope we left her feeling uplifted. Others shared of lost family members, physical pain and upcoming surgeries. I hope we prayed for them in a way that left them knowing that they have sisters who share their burdens. We are told in Heb. 13:1 to let brotherly love (sisterly love in this case) continue. May we women continually love and encourage each other. I pray that as women our communication is effective and we leave others more encouraged in the Lord than we did before they fellow shipped with us.
