Christmas is coming!
I am excited, are you? I love everything about Christmas from shopping to wrapping to decorating trees! Seasonal décor lines the shelves in stores, trees are appearing in homes and the shopping season is officially started.
I often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the commercial season and find my heart and mind distracted from the true meaning of Christmas. I am striving to keep my focus Christ centered this Christmas with fewer gifts for our grandchildren while finding more ways to teach them of Jesus birth.
If you desire to do the same, may I introduce you to Tama Fortner’s beautiful Christmas book for children ages two to six. Tama gives us the wondrous plan of Christmas which started long, long, ago….the prophets, Mary, Joseph and the angels knew….and now we know too!
Tama takes children to the origin of man and sin in the garden teaching the reason for the coming of Jesus as his arrival unfolds. This sweet, simple telling will be a wondrous family read for your little ones this Christmas season and many to come.
Yes, Christmas is coming and the only way to be ready for focused worship is by knowing Jesus as our personal Savior. God always knew Jesus would leave heaven and be born a babe in the manger, live a sinless life, and give himself as the supreme sacrifice to cover our sins. This is God’s merciful and gracious plan for mankind.
Jesus came once as a babe in a manger, but He is coming again as a groom calling His bride home. At the end of tribulation, He will return a second time riding His white horse as KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. The babe Jesus has arrived to earth but His return for the church and Jesus’ return as King are yet to come. Bible prophesies predict these events so they will happen. May we be less distracted by the busy Christmas season and keep looking for our soon coming Savior. Be ready, Jesus is coming soon!
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage; and the door was shut.
